Drawn to the whimsy of nature, Palm Orleans is ever inspired by the vignettes of visual poetry in New Orleans’ City Park. Established in 1854, City Park is one of the oldest parks in the country and hosts both fine art and natural wonders of local flora and fauna. Its grounds have been enjoyed for over a century and by so many! Meandering through the picturesque landscape of moss-draped oak trees and sun-speckled bayous, you can’t help but be charmed by the beauty and magic that the sights and sounds possess. The vibrations from the souls of its many visitors and the buzz of nature is palpable. We are proud, fortunate and grateful to have City Park in our backyard and, if you have visited before, consider yourself a lucky one.

In addition to, and harmoniously intertwined with, the spirited, natural world of City Park is the Sydney and Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Its winding pathways allow you to get lost in the majesty of it all. It is spectacular! The sculpture garden encircles the New Orleans Museum of Art, known locally as NOMA, in a loving embrace. NOMA is the heart of the creative pulse in New Orleans and dear to the community. One of our favorite happenings at NOMA is Art in Bloom, a fantastical event that takes place every spring. Local garden clubs, floral designers and creative talents use floral arrangements to mimic and create art. It is breathtaking! Sponsoring and participating in this event has become an absolute delightful highlight of our year and a way for us to give back to our beloved New Orleans.

We love being able to share City Park, our wonderland of inspiration, our moments of thrills and frills, and the collective joy springing from the Land of Palm Orleans with you. As an ode to our muse, City Park, we strived to capture the essence of its organic shapes and colors in some of our fabrics and wallcoverings. For example, we took the bold dwarf palmetto, which is typically gnarled and sporadically growing amongst other City Park flora, and presented its robust fan in a splendidly sophisticated way. With our Palmetto Stripe pattern, you can bring the lushness of City Park inside and transform your space into an enchanting realm of pattern and color. We want our fabrics and wallcoverings to add a layer of magic to interior spaces, like sunbeams dancing through a window and casting a myriad of colors. Like Mother Nature, we don’t shy away from color and pattern, so you don’t have to either. *wink*wink*

Frondly yours,

Palm Orleans
